Green Volunteers 4 ECO Future connected young people from five countries through environmental volunteering, active citizenship and non-formal education. The project combined participatory workshops, outdoor challenges and practical volunteering with the creation of digital resources designed to encourage further youth engagement in environmental action.

Context and objectives

Green Volunteers 4 ECO Future promoted environmental volunteering as a pathway to environmental responsibility, active citizenship, inclusion and youth participation. The project connected young people from five countries and used non-formal education to explore how volunteering can protect the environment, strengthen communities and help young people become active European citizens.
